This year I’ve been smitten by all the Valentine’s Day decor I’ve seen on social media. Although, I can never resist a nice date night with my hubby, sometimes you just need a good girl’s night! I’ve recently joined a new bible study group and have really enjoyed the new friendships and community I’ve gained from it. To celebrate our new friendships and to fulfill my recent obsession with Valentine’s decor, I’m hosting a GALentine’s Party for us!
As I’ve been planning my decorations, activities and food for the Galentine’s Party, I went ahead and created a short round up of 6 Galentine’s Day Party Essentials.
Every party needs a good backdrop! This is most likely what will be in all the pictures and anchors the whole space. My Oversized DIY Chalkboard happens to be my usual backdrop, but I change it up based on the event/season. I made white and pink Pom Pom Garland and a Heart Wreath to hang on the chalkboard. Thanks to Michaels, the adorable wreath tutorial can be found here.
One of the easiest ways to bring life to the party is a drink station with festive drinks. I’ve decorated my Ikea Hack Bar Cart with some DIY Tassel Garland. I am planning on adding Gold Sugar around the rim of my champagne glasses and topping it off with a light pink heart stir stick that I found in the dollar spot at Target! Now whether you are doing mocktails or cocktails, you must have Bubbly for Galentine’s Day! To keep it festive, use blush or pink colored drinks and top it off with a raspberry or strawberry.
How cute is this table runner from Shop Walk In Love!? It’s such an easy and cheap DIY and makes a big impact on the decor!
I made these DIY Gold Dipped Milk Jars from Style Me Pretty for my wedding a few years ago. I still have them, so I’m planning on making a Trader Joes run to pick up some flowers to add to them. Such a simple and easy decor piece!
I know we are all entertaining enough, but I thought I would throw in some games and activities. When I saw this free MASH printable from Studio DIY I knew it was an essential for our Galentine’s Day Party! It’s a nod to our days of braces and boy band crushes and thought we’d all get a laugh out of it.
What is Galentine’s Day without the opportunity to indulge on 10 different kinds of chocolate!? I found these Raspberry Cheesecake Truffles from OMG Chocolate Desserts and will be making them for the party! YUM!!!
My Galentine’s Day Party isn’t until the week of Valentine’s day, but I will make sure to write another post to share all the details. If you want more inspiration, I’ve been pinning on my Valentine’s Day Pinterest Board so make sure to take a peak!
